PETA files more resolutions than any other NGO. The most common type of resolution we have sponsored in the last several years promotes the use of "Controlled Atmosphere Killing" as a less cruel and more profitable method of turkey and chicken slaughter. (See "The Case for Controlled-Atmosphere Killing" on PETA's website: http://www.peta.org/cak/) These resolutions (noted below with "CAK") typically ask for a report to be issued on the economic feasibility of phasing in controlled-atmosphere killing in the company's own operations or as a requirement for suppliers.
Resolutions on animal welfare or animal testing typically ask for a report on what the company is doing to reduce dependence on animals and improve treatment of animals in the company's operations.
