Data

We have collected agendas and institutional investor votes for 12,445 shareholder meetings taking place between July 1, 2003 and Oct 07, 2008. Use the search boxes at left to find a specific company, meeting, or proposal.

Our data sources

The agendas and votes for all meetings after July 1, 2007 were collected from the websites of CalPERS, CBIS, Domini, and Calvert, four institutions that have long been leaders in proxy voting transparency.

The agendas and votes for all meetings before July 1, 2007 were collected from SEC filings submitted by mutual funds. (Since 2004, the SEC has required investment companies to report all of their proxy votes in an annual filing.)

All votes from CBIS and CalPERS were collected from their websites.

Scope

Our database contains votes from 77 mutual funds from 33 leading fund families, as well as CalPERS (a state pension fund) and CBIS (an investment adviser to Catholic institutions). We have focused on getting the largest large-cap funds from the largest fund families, as well as the leading SRI (socially responsible investing) funds.

We plan to greatly increase the coverage of our database over the coming months, so let us know if there is a fund or fund family you'd like to see featured.
